Mission

The poverty is the mother of all evils and the prevailing wedding system is the root of poverty. The system is a blackmailer to the girls who cannot afford to give Dowry and lavish dinners. The Dowry system is the main reason of the domestic violence, suicides, separations and, eventually, court cases. Those girls who suffer at the hands of this evil, avenge the society after their weddings. They punish the society by becoming more cruel to their respective daughters-in-law. This is a viscous cycle going on for centuries. 95% of the poor and middle class remain so all the life. None of them get financial prosperity due to the weddings expenditures. Our mission is a single line agenda i.e. “Boycott & reject the invitation of such weddings where the parents of the brides are compelled to spend by hook or by crook. Biggest victims of this system are the brothers of the brides who watch helplessly the parents selling houses for the sake of the wedding of the daughters. The brothers get bankrupted and get compelled to opt for lower class jobs or go for immoral source of income. But, at the time of their own wedding, they rob the parents of their bride in the same way as their brother-in-law (Bahnwai) robbed them of. In short, the present system of wedding due to all it’s senseless rituals is destroying the society morally and financially. Therefore, we believe that the eradication of the prevailing wedding system is first and foremost important mission than any other social, educational or political reform.
